Employers must provide Properly Labeled Containers with Appropriate Hazard Warnings when employees handle corrosives.

Employers who become newly aware of any significant information regarding the hazards of a chemical shall revise the labels for the chemical within six months of becoming aware of the new information.

Step 5

Eyewash and Deluge Shower

An eyewash and a deluge shower that meet American National Standards Institute (ANSI) standards.

Emergency eyewash facilities and deluge showers shall be in accessible locations that require no more than 10 seconds for the injured person to reach.

Step 6

Hazard Communication Program

Employers must provide a written Hazard Communication (HAZCOM) Program when employees handle corrosives.
