If you don't already have someone, then look around you for a person who can help you sort things out in your life on a continual basis.
This person’s role is simply to help you figure out the tough stuff. They should be able to get to the one or two simple strategies that help you move forward.
You can start looking for this person right where you are.
The person could be a CASA, Guardian ad Litem, pastor, former teacher, principal, coach, grandparent or other older but safe relative, foster parent, older neighbor, your boss, etc. You get the idea. Older means at least 10 to 15 years older - this gives them time to gain the experience that you are getting ready to borrow from.
The goal is simply to talk to them. Just listen to what they say and watch how they deal with life's challenges. It's a natural process and one you can learn a lot from.
