Summary:

Step 1

Hiya!

We're all about leading people to their silver linings.

There's a surprising silver lining in being falsely accused of something.

Have you found it? What good could come from it?

Step 2

If you said that being falsely accused made you more aware about accusing, mistreating or judging others, then you were right.

Have you lied about somebody, mocked them or wrongly accused them of doing something bad?

Step 3

If you answered yes, then now is a great time for a do-over.

What could a do over look like in your situation?

Step 4

Would you consider apologizing to someone you've hurt, someone who's had to pay a price because of your actions?

Step 5

Now's a great time to do it, so that you both can move on without regrets.

How willing are you to follow through?

Step 6

As you think about it, consider the following approach when you're apologizing:

*Keep it simple
*Keep it honest
*No excuses

Just ask if they will accept your apology for behavior that hurt them.

Describe how you feel about asking someone to forgive you.

Step 7

There are a lot of people your age who could learn from you. They could gain courage from your actions.

Post to your JP Next Step Campfire (local friends and peers) and Campsite (nationwide) or Campground (international) to let your peers know how it turned out.

All the best to you in this very brave action!
