When you can connect to those people and things that make you happy, you're also connecting to your intrinsic value - the real you.

Imagine how you'd approach life day today as someone who understands their intrinsic value. Get a mental image of that person - the real you.

Describe this person and note how this view of yourself is different from the way you typically see yourself.

If you stay connected to the image you had of your intrinsic value, then what activities would change?

What would you do more of or less of?

Let's keep going with this. As the you that you imagined, what would be different about your friendships?

Would you have the same friends or different ones?

Would you treat them differently?

How would you let them treat you?

When you realize you have tremendous value simply because you are you, then you'll approach life with strength and confidence, refusing to allow anyone to steal the joy that comes from appreciating who you are and what you have to offer the world.
