Summary:

Step 1

Hiya! Glad you're back!

Start off today's navitent by getting quiet.

Just sit still.

Count to 60 slowly.

Breathe deeply and exhale slowly.

How much did this exercise slow your thoughts and give you a sense of calm?

Step 2

Now let's dive in.

Is it hard for you to trust people, especially people who seem different than you?

We get it. A lot of people may have let you down. But most of those people YOU probably didn't choose.

They chose you, or there was no real choice at all. Or maybe they just seemed like they would be the kind that would look down on you. We hear you.

Now you get to be in the driver's seat.

Do you see how that gives you power to build friendships on your own terms?

Step 3

We understand that it's hard to put your heart or your ego out there only to risk that it will be stomped on. That may have happened enough times already, and the sting can go deeper with each rejection. Again...we feel ya. Seriously.

But...what if...?

What if...you took a small step of faith and just got to know someone on your own terms? On your own timetable?

What if...that person was someone who had qualities that made you feel like you would like to be a better man or a better woman just by being around them?

What if...after getting to know them over time, you felt comfortable enough to start asking them questions about how they came to be the person they are?

What if...you helped that person overcome some difficult things, too?

What if...it all worked out?

It could look something like these scenes from the film 'Finding Forrester.'

Step up to the video icon to view two clips.

Let us know how they made you feel when you've finished.

Step 4

What are you facing currently where you could use some good advice?

Step 5

What's your next move in reaching out to get that advice?
