Summary: Investing in the fruit of peace.

Step 1

Read Galatians 5:22-23:

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law."

Are you ready to make an investment in the Fruit of Peace?

Step 2

Read Luke 10: 17-20:

'When the seventy-two disciples returned, they joyfully reported to him, “Lord, even the demons obey us when we use your name!”

“Yes,” he told them, “I saw Satan fall from heaven like lightning! Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you. But don’t rejoice because evil spirits obey you; rejoice because your names are registered in heaven.”

Allow this word to penetrate, then select the 'Successful' response.

Step 3

What is disturbing your peace?

What negative circumstances, obligations, people, etc., are you currently dreading to deal with? Be specific.

Write down your answer in the space provided.

Step 4

Go to 'DOCUMENTS' button above and read Oswald Chamber's comments on applying the authority of Christ over the devices the enemy uses to "steal, kill and destroy" our passions, hopes, dreams and, ultimately, our lives.

Select 'Successful' when you are finished.

Step 5

Oswald Chambers states: "Faith in many a one falters when the apprehensions come, they forget the meaning of God's say-so, forget to take a deep breath spiritually. The only way to get the dread taken out of us is to listen to God's say-so. What are you dreading? You are not a coward about it, you are going to face it, but there is a feeling of dread."

Are you ready to actively apply the authority Christ has given you, through His Word, to the circumstances you described in Step 3 above?

Step 6

Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you a specific Bible verse(s) He wants you to use to fight for and reestablish your peace.

Write down any revelation you receive. If you do not receive a revelation, use your wisdom to select a verse(s).

Step 7

Continue to mediate on the verse(s) you selected. Give them time to penetrate.

When you are ready, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the application of His Word in your present circumstances.

Write down any revelations or thoughts you receive.

Step 8

Now proclaim the Word of God over your circumstances! In your mind, picture the circumstance you chose in Step 3 then claim (preferably, aloud) the Word of God you selected in Step 6 over those circumstances.

Continue to proclaim the Word until you obtain the victory and receive His peace!

Note: if you do not obtain victory, ask a trusted fellow Christian to pray with you (Matthew 18:20).

Select 'Successful' when you have established victory in your spirit, mind and body.

Step 9

How confident are you of the victory and the peace that follows it?

Step 10

2 Corinthians 10:5 states:

"We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ."

If you did not choose 'Confident' as your answer in Step 9, go back and repeat Steps 4-8. Stay with this: fight, fight, fight for your victory and peace; overcome your dread, fears, doubts and complacency; pick yourself up by the bootstraps and fight for the peace that is yours in this circumstance in Christ Jesus!

Step 11

Would you like to offer praise to our Champion, the Lord Jesus Christ? If so, do so now.

Step 12

Regarding any unbelief you may be struggling with, would you like to repent (express your sorrow) before the Lord? If so, do so now.

Step 13

What does it mean to you to have 'your name registered in heaven'?

Step 14

Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you why Jesus tells the seventy-two:

"But don’t rejoice because evil spirits obey you; rejoice because your names are registered in heaven.”

Write down any revelation or thoughts you receive.

Step 15

(Optional) Go to 'VIDEO' to hear selections of speeches by Sr. Winston Churchill. These speeches rallied an entire nation to defeat the forces of evil that were set to destroy them and their way of life.

Step 16

Now, having done battle, how much has this Trail increased your current level of peace?
