Summary: Investing in the fruit of faithfulness.

Step 1

Read Galatians 5:22-23:

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law."

Are you ready to make an investment in the Fruit of Faithfulness?

Step 2

Read the following Proverbs 1:7-9:

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction. Hear, my son, your father's instruction, and forsake not your mother's teaching, for they are a graceful garland for your head and pendants for your neck."

Allow this verse to soak in. Select the 'Successful' response when you are ready to go to step 3.

Step 3

Read Proverbs 4:1-13:

"Hear, O sons, a father's instruction, and be attentive, that you may gain insight, for I give you good precepts; do not forsake my teaching. When I was a son with my father, tender, the only one in the sight of my mother, he taught me and said to me, "Let your heart hold fast my words; keep my commandments, and live. Get wisdom; get insight; do not forget, and do not turn away from the words of my mouth. Do not forsake her, and she will keep you; love her, and she will guard you. The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom, and whatever you get, get insight. Prize her highly, and she will exalt you; she will honor you if you embrace her. She will place on your head a graceful garland; she will bestow on you a beautiful crown." Hear, my son, and accept my words, that the years of your life may be many. I have taught you the way of wisdom; I have led you in the paths of uprightness. When you walk, your step will not be hampered, and if you run, you will not stumble. Keep hold of instruction; do not let go; guard her, for she is your life."

Allow this verse to penetrate. Select the 'Successful' response when you are ready to go to step 4.

Step 4

Now that you understand the importance of good instruction, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal His instructions to you for this day.

Write down any revelations you receive.

If you don't receive instructions, use wisdom from His Word instead for the following steps.

Step 5

Read James 1:5-8:

"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways."

Think carefully about what is being said here. If you have received wisdom or instruction from God, do you agree that you should follow it carefully?

Step 6

Is there anything you would like to confess before God?

If so, enter a response.

Step 7

Now, with new instructions and/or wisdom, would you like to express thanks and adoration to God?

You may record your thoughts.

Step 8

Based on what you have received from God's word, is there a specific action you can commit to for today?

If you committed to an action for today previously, how well did you carry it out? Be as honest as you can.

Step 9

Now, on a scale of 1 to 10, at what level are you sensing the Fruit of Faithfulness within? (Galatians 5:22-23)
